The Object
Most fragrance bottles are designed to be emptied and thrown away. This one is designed for what happens after.
The glass is cut into facets, so that it holds light differently from every angle and never looks the same twice on a surface. The weight sits at the collar, where the hand takes it. The base is engraved — and what is engraved there is not a logo.
It is a date. The day the fragrance in this bottle began to age. No other bottle of the same fragrance carries that date.
When the fragrance is finished, the bottle is not. That was the intention before it was a claim.
